Word-by-word captions keep people watching with the sound off, which is how most short videos are watched. Editing apps charge a subscription for them; this skill gives you a project you own.
Attach the SRT or VTT from any transcription tool. You get a Remotion project that plays your video with captions on top. It was checked by rendering captions over real video: - Every timecode converted exactly, and each word timed to speaking pace. - The spoken word highlighted, with a dark outline that reads on bright or busy footage. - Captions kept above the bottom fifth of the screen, where apps put their own buttons. - Korean captions wrap between words, not in the middle of them.
Your video never leaves your computer. Rendering needs Node.js.
Remotion is free for individuals and companies of up to three people; larger companies need a Remotion company licence.
